Milan is a 1967 Hindi film directed by Adurthi Subba Rao. It was a remake of his hit Telugu film Mooga Manasulu (1963) and was produced by L. V. Prasad. The film stars Sunil Dutt, Nutan, Jamuna (repeating her role from the original Telugu film), Pran and Deven Varma. The award-winning and very popular music was given by Laxmikant Pyarelal. It is among the earliest films to deal with the theme of reincarnation.
Two students(Sunil Dutt & Nutan) of a college are getting married. Since both were talented students of the college, their college keeps a little function for them. After the function, they head for their honeymoon through a road passing through a small hamlet. Their car breaks down, they stop for a while & suddenly the hero starts having visions. He asks local people about certain landmarks of the village; landmarks none of the couple would have known since they were destroyed years before they were even born.
While trying to find the explanation, the couple realize that their story starts well before their birth dates. Milan is a story of two lovers killed tragically in a past life & reunited where it all started.
